This 18 week course is designed to give us a space to explore and learn the fundamentals of Tai Chi and Qigong through the lens of a Buddhist Tai Chi form.

What will be covered?

  1. Standing Meditation and developing mindful awareness

  2. Buddha Tai Chi forms

  3. Tuishou and application training

What you can expect in class:

During each class, we’ll spend time warming up and loosening our bodies, followed by the focus of the day and standing meditation. We’ll then move into playing with the beautiful and intricate spiraling movements of Buddha Tai Chi, studying the fundamental principles of Tai Chi and Qigong as we go through it. Lastly, we’ll utilize two person drills and the practice of tuishou to put the principles of Tai Chi to the test to see how well we practice them, as well as to develop sensitivity and mindfulness in the body. The benefits of tuishou apply to all manner or conflict, difficulty, or issue.
